The film created by the young people from The Mayfield Centre was in direct response to the cuts proposed to The Youth Service in 2014. The group decided that they needed to speak out and decided to create a music video. The lyrics were written carefully and expressed the fears that the group had of a future without a youth service. After the preparation was done and the lyrics learnt, time was spent at SORM (School Of Rock and Media)music studio, where the track was put down professionally onto a cd. We then took to the streets, performing the song in a variety of well known locations in Bradford City Centre.

Fight For Your Right is a fantastic achievement for this group of young people, who believed in their power to speak out against an injustice to them and their peers. The completed DVD was sent to various councillors and put onto social media in an attempt to get their voice heard.
