A project created by the Year 6's from: Beech Hill Primary School.
VOID ARTS worked on a 7 week sculpture project with Year 6 pupils to create sculptures based around the theme of MIGRATION. Each group worked with their arts worker to discuss how it would feel for a person to leave one country to go and live in a strange new country. How would that person feel? Happy? Sad? Anxious? Hopeful? Lonely? These emotions were discussed and designs were made. Each young person learnt how to create a life sized sculpture and also used a variety of mixed media to compliment their own theme. When the sculptures were completed, they were exhibited in the school grounds and inside the building.
